Get to know my journey, skills, and what drives me
I'm a Learning Experience Designer specializing in Adaptive Learning and Theory-Integrated AI.
My journey began with a foundation in quantitative sociology at Kwansei Gakuin University, where I developed a strong research background. This naturally evolved into a passion for education during my time as a Teaching Assistant Team Lead at N-S High School in Japan, where I saw firsthand the need for user-centered, adaptive learning designs.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (MEITE) at UNC-Chapel Hill, working as a Graduate Research Assistant. I focus on developing AI-supported systems like "Discuss Ready," integrating frameworks like ICAP and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) to enhance metacognitive support and student interactions.
Whether it's conducting iterative UX research, applying learning analytics through process mining, or presenting findings at conferences like SITE 2026, I am driven by the goal of building research-informed, impactful educational technologies.
UNC Chapel Hill: Pursuing the MEITE program on the Adaptive Learning Analyst track. Spearheading the development of the AI system "Discuss Ready," conducting UX usability testing, and applying learning analytics to evaluate AI feedback.
UT Austin: Developed advanced proficiency in academic writing and communication specifically tailored for US higher education contexts and research publication.
N-S High School, Japan: Managed a TA team, customized curriculum for project-based learning, and spearheaded interactive workshops reaching over 150 students annually.
Kwansei Gakuin University: Awarded Best Senior Thesis for research in Quantitative Sociology. Led the Faculty Student Organization to manage student-led initiatives.
